About Us

Bush Telegraph Telecoms Pty Ltd (BushTel) was founded in 2021 to connect Australians living in rural, remote and regional areas.

BushTel was born coupleing Founder, Scott Munro’s, personal struggles in connecting his farm with Scott’s personal 30+ year telco industry involvement and experience.

BushTel is focused on market segments that continue to be dominated by the incumbent with alternatives not being able to compete.

Government investment has highlighted the need for a RRR focused telco infrastructure company to help carriers improve their coverage in the bush but more importantly, assist in enabling and connecting these communites to improve socio-economic factors in RRR areas.

BushTel offers RRR products to carriers and Governments to increase telco investment in the bush and bridge the digital devide.

BushTel is a rural, regional and remote focused wireless tower infrastructure provider.

With a combined 100+ years of experience, BushTel, acquires, builds, manages and improves carriers existing wireless infrastructure network by focusing on rural, remote and regional Australia.

Neutral Host Network

BushTel builds sites in the areas that are difficult, the areas that need it most. Tell us where and when you want a site and our experienced team will find a solution. BushTel is experienced in working with both public and private sector stakeholders in providing coverage to the bush.

Small Cell Infrastructure Development

‘Small Cell’ is used to describe a scaled down version of a Mobile Telephone Base Station. BushTel are experts in ‘small cells’ and are assisting Governments, carriers and other companies in deploying Small Cells.

Portfolio Support

BushTel consults and partners with large property portfolios to bring added mobile generated revenue to their portfolios.

All carriers are welcome to access BushTel sites

IBC and DAS

In Building Solutions’ (IBC) and ‘Distributed Antenna Systems’ (DAS) are mobile infrastructure solutions to bring connectivity indoors. BushTel are experts in partnering and consulting for commercial property portfolios, stadiums, hotels, shopping centres and the like.

Maintenance and inspections

BushTel provides maintenance, inspections, reporting and support for all carriers installations on our structures

Scott Munro
Founder and Chairman

Diploma of Law - University of Sydney

Founder of CPS in 1992, Scott has overseen the strategic expansion and growth of the company throughout Australia, Britain, and Asia.

An experienced business leader and Network Infrastructure Service Specialist, Scott enjoys the challenges of converting complex infrastructure requirements into manageable and successful projects.

Scott has special interest in BushTel bridging this digital divide having grown up in Wagga Wagga and owning a farm in rural NSW.

Gareth Hardy
Director – Market Engagement

Master of Business Administration - University of Melbourne

Since retiring from Professional Rugby in 2011, Gareth has founded UK based Telecommunications company, 1823 Group.

1823 Group provides telco products and services to primarily financial services companies across the UK.

On top of this, Gareth, is a Director at Thirdi Group. Thirdi Group, is a leading property development and investment firm focused on large-scale residential products.

Matt Parry
CPA

Masters in Commerce (Marketing and Finance) - University of Sydney
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Economics) - Australian National University

An experienced Chief Executive, Matt is the founder of CFO Evolve. Established in 2014, CFO Evolve, brings strategic and financial capability of large corporates to SMEs.

Prior to this, Matt, was the CEO of award winning Stratatel Limited (2005-2012) and previously Group Product Manager of AAPT from 1997 to 2004.

David Williams
Director – Carrier Services

Master of Business Administration - Macquarie Graduate School of Management

David’s career brings a wealth of experience and perspectives on both the supplier and network operator sides with previous roles being in both business development as well as program delivery.

David has been involved in the introduction of new technologies, being a member of the team that introduced cellular to Australia, as well as working as part of the Nokia (1999 – 2012) global team for the introduction of 3G and more recently with Optus as the Associate Director of Network Deployment.

William Munro
Analyst

Bachelor of Commerce - University of Sydney.

Working in the telco and infrastructure industries for a few years either side of his Professional Rugby career, Will brings youth and fresh ideas to the team.

Experienced in site acquisition and the SAED process, Will, has worked on EV charging infrastructure rollouts, the Federal Government Mobile Blackspot Program project as well as numerous projects in RRR areas.

Will understands the different stakeholders perspectives and is passionate about improving peoples lives in these markets.
